The building provides changing facilities for the new sporting facilities at AlmaVerde, which include Tennis, Footsal and a Racquets court. It also provides a social centre and a bar for the villa development along with a kitchen capable of providing light meals and snacks. Two square pavilions with barrel tiled pyramid shaped roofs and a joining less dominant area of flat roof with roof glazing are proposed for the new centre. A frame of timber pergola on white rendered concrete columns is used to provide structured shade and an inviting surround to the new building. The North pavilion contains the main bar, bar seating, and the kitchen. Weather permitting tall sliding folding doors opens the bar to the south-facing courtyard. The other pavilion houses a universal access wc and the male and female toilets and changing rooms. A field stonewall surrounds the entrance to the kitchen area to the West to provide additional external kitchen storage and external cooking facilities neatly kept out of the public’s gaze.
